Use case
A home for trading bots that must not stop
A trading bot is a loop that has to survive restarts without losing track of what it did. State on disk, a clear log of every decision, and a way to stop it fast.
The problem
A bot that restarts and forgets its open positions, or runs unattended with no spending or approval limits, is a risk to your account.
What NeverHalt gives you
- A disk that survives restarts
Every agent gets its own /app/data folder. SQLite files, checkpoints and caches are still there after a crash, a redeploy or a restart.
- Restarts itself
If the process crashes it is started again automatically. Restarts that loop too fast are held back and the log says why.
- It asks before risky actions
Your agent can ask you for approval and wait for your answer in the dashboard. No answer means no.
- You see what it does
Live logs, plus an activity log of AI calls, tool calls and errors with token counts and cost.
- A daily AI budget
Route Claude or OpenAI calls through NeverHalt and set a daily cap. When it is used up the calls are refused (or the agent is stopped, your choice).
Ask before a live order
if neverhalt.ask(f"Buy {qty} {symbol} at market?", timeout=300):
broker.buy(symbol, qty)Questions
- Does NeverHalt trade for me or give investment advice?
- No. NeverHalt only runs the code you deploy. It does not place orders, hold funds or give financial advice.
- Is there a demo?
- The quant-paper-bot template trades on offline sample data with paper money only, and shows how state survives a restart.
No card needed. Confirm your email, deploy from GitHub or a zip.
