Quickstart
Deploy your first always-on agent to NeverHalt in a few minutes: sign up, confirm your email, upload a zip or pick a GitHub repository.
NeverHalt keeps programs that act on their own running: AI agents, bots, scrapers, schedulers. This page takes you from nothing to a running agent.
1. Create an account
Sign up with email, Google or GitHub. If you use email, open the confirmation link we send you: deploying is blocked until the address is confirmed. The 7-day free trial starts at sign-up and needs no card.
2. Package your project
- Put the entry file (for example bot.py) and requirements.txt (or package.json) in a folder and zip it.
- Store anything that must survive restarts under /app/data (the DATA_DIR environment variable).
- Choose a run mode: daemon (always on), cron (on a schedule), webhook (on an HTTPS call) or mcp (an MCP server).
import os
DATA_DIR = os.getenv("DATA_DIR", "/app/data")
os.makedirs(DATA_DIR, exist_ok=True)
db_path = os.path.join(DATA_DIR, "state.db")3. Deploy
In the dashboard choose New Process, drop the zip or pick a GitHub repository (install the NeverHalt GitHub app first; it only gets read access to the repositories you choose). Add secrets as environment variables; they are encrypted and never shown again.
4. Watch it
Open the agent to see live logs, run history and the Activity tab with AI calls, tool calls, errors and cost. If the process crashes it is started again automatically.
Limits of the free trial
One always-on process with 512 MB of memory and a persistent disk, for 7 days. When the trial ends the process pauses and its data is kept so you can upgrade and continue.
